Wells, dots and rivers — charcoal, embossing and ink on handmade paper
Drawing is the thinking hand — a well that becomes a portal, Braille dots embossed into paper, a river crossing held in ink. STPI challenged Shambhavi to break fresh ground through paper, pulp and touch — vertical journeys into water, darkness and the subterranean, tactile poetry read by touch, boats as metaphors of transit and memory.
Kuan — The Well as Portal
After Bundelkhand water-starved villages, the well is drawn as architecture, metaphor and portal — charcoal scraped like parched earth and masonry. STPI challenged her to break fresh ground; the well holds vertical journeys into water and darkness.
