Earth

Earth is an installation that returns to the primordial — raw earth as both material and metaphor. Using hand-ground pigments, clay from different riverbeds, and organic matter collected from agricultural lands, the work grounds the celestial in the terrestrial.

The installation spans floor to ceiling, with pigment dust suspended in air and settling on surfaces like geological time made visible. Visitors leave footprints that become part of the work — an acknowledgment that we are never separate from the earth we walk on.

The work asks: what does it mean to make art from the very substance that holds our ancestors, our food, our bodies? Earth is a ritual of return — to soil, to breath, to the slow sedimentation of memory.
