STPI — Creative Workshop & Gallery, Singapore
2010 — Artist-in-residence at STPI Creative Workshop & Gallery, Singapore. Working shoulder to shoulder with master printers, Shambhavi finger-painted hand-beaten pulp the way village walls are mud-plastered. Abaca and cotton fibre, ochre and indigo, paper as terrain. The palette changed and the iconography shifted — and the resulting works entered the MoMA permanent collection, New York.

2001–2004 — Artist-in-residence at Greatmore Studios, Cape Town, with participation in Holland South Africa Line (HSAL) at the Castle of Good Hope, William Fehr Collection. Midnight Song — handmade paper, palm fans, 12 pages of independence. Gandhi and Mandela, the rainbow nation, Cape Point oceans, migrants and slavery. In 2000–2001 the HSAL exchange prompted a deeper engagement with the philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi.
